I've debated with myself for a long time about whether or not to offer this photograph for sale. I love it, but I've lost the original negative, and all I have is this scan. Before you buy, note the handful of imperfections due to the scan.
Folks enjoy the horse photo, even though it has the same problems, so I decided I'd post this one and see what sort of reception it gets.
I got this photograph on absolutely the most photogenic Konza Prairie photowalk I've ever taken. Storms were moving in, the sun was going down, the light was perfect, the clouds were dark, the wind was blowing - just perfect. I have a few other shots from this walk that I love - I may add more later.

I discovered your etsy shop the other day and am very impressed. Also impressed with this shot! I don't have an Etsy account (as a seller), but am considering it.
Just wondering if you could tell me, your best guess, how much time and energy goes into your Etsy account? From posting to printing to running to the post office, about how much time does it take? I'm just wondering if it's a horrific amount or tolerable (in your opinion). Thanks, in advance, for any advice you'd like to share!

I have found that the more energy you put into it, the better your results will be. I hate to admit how many hours I put into Etsy, but it's many many.
The plus side is that they are pleasant hours spent on Etsy. :)

We're planning to move back to Texas next month, so I probably won't try to tackle etsy AND a cross-country move, but I will definitely consider it after we get settled.

1. How do you attach the mat to the photo, just transparent scotch tape? Do your matted pix seem to sell more than your unmatted ones?
2. Do you use photo mailers and buy them in bulk? Where's the best place to buy them?
3. Does an invoice automatically go out via paypal/etsy? or do you have to provide an additional one?
4. Do you print your own photos with your own printer? Or simply have them printed up using a Wal-mart or Wal-greens? If you use your own printer, do you end up going through a lot of ink very quickly?
5. Do you have a banking/checking account that you use strictly for your etsy sales?
6. Do you go to the post office every time you make a sale, or do you have designated days for your mailouts?
7. I noticed you've sold a lot of your photos since Dec. 2006. Besides obviously having exceptional products :), what else have you done to market/promote your work, to get it seen?
8. Last, but not least, do you wait to mail the photo until after you are paid, or do you generally mail it immediately, in good faith?
