Insert Wizard of Oz Joke Here

I am now sufficiently settled into Missouri life to be ready to think of myself as "in Missouri." Thus, you will notice that "Jared in Kansas" is a thing of the past. I have decided not to try to change all of my internet presence to JaredMO - I'm justifying it through the idea that Kansas will always be an integral part of me. The truth, of course, is that it's far too much work and would be confusing. Nonetheless, now we have Missouri here on the blog, and over on the Etsy shop.

The above image is one of a series of square images captured this first Missouri winter. I have not titled any of them - I think they work nicely together and separately, quiet, without names.

We now live much farther from civilization than I had anticipated when we first set off in this direction. It is true that a relatively short car ride can bring a person to the city, which is what fooled me in the first place. It is also true, however, that something about the place discourages car rides altogether. I am walking, picking on my guitar, and staying out of town.

As Seen On: the POE blog!

Ann from the Photographers of Etsy blog was kind enough to contact me and ask me a few questions recently, and you can see my latest ramblings, if you happen to be interested in that sort of thing.

I haven't picked up my camera in many weeks now, but spring is on the way, and I have lots and lots of ideas swirling around in my head. I'm excited about the images to come this year.

Happy February to all of you!

Now on Facebook

So, seeing as I've gotten myself hooked on Facebook through a silly game application, it seemed reasonable to set up a page for my photography. Thanks to Heather, that has happened.

We've decided to give away a 5x7 print each week to someone who has marked the page as a fan. If you have any interest in that, go take a look!

More Grass

I spent a gorgeous afternoon hiking through tallgrass. I love purple grass.

I Like Grass

The eleven-year-old thinks grass is boring. I'm sure he'll come around.

Yay Dandelions!

Since it's been a while since the last blog post, I figured I should probably go with a new dandelion shot. I know everyone loves dandelions (except my lovely wife!).

Happy June everyone. :)
